About Ffion Wren
Ffion Wren is an acoustic pop singer-songwriter from Caerphilly, South Wales. Her way of coping through life's challenges and difficult relationships is to express her feelings through her pop influenced, emotion driven songs. She idolizes and gains inspiration from artists such as Adele and Birdy, being able to communicate a story of emotion to their audience through their music. In her early years, Ffion was very musical, experimenting with different instruments including guitar, drums, violin and Piano, in which her Nan gave her lessons. She even started song writing when she was 12 to help cope with family trauma and has continued ever since as a form of release. Nevertheless, Ffion discovered her love of performing at University, after winning The University of West England's (UWE) 'Singer Songwriter Competition' in December 2021. This unlocked a whole wave of new opportunities, including performances at 'The Bristol Beacon', 'Bristol Cathedral', 'Arnolfini Theater' and the incredible opportunity to record at 'The Real World Studios'. She won an award from UWE upon graduating for 'Outstanding progress in commercial music', and secured a place on the Universities scholarship program to further progress her music. Since finishing University she has been pursuing her music career full time back in South Wales. Ffion Wren has performed at venues across Cardiff, including Wales Millenium Centre and Clwb Ifor Bach. She took part in a National Youth Arts Wales programme called 'Hard Cor' and recently performed her first supporting gig for Spencer Flay at The Moon, Cardiff. Ffion Wren released her debut single 'Life In My 20s' on October 27th. Since the release, she has gained over 400 listeners on Spotify, blog and radio interviews including Radio Cardiff and recieved lots of promotion through Amazing Radio. Ffion Wren is currently on an Erazmus exchange in Latvia, working with musicians to grow her skills
